Harold Perkins, Jayden Daniels among SEC’s top performers in Week 8

A look at the top performers in the SEC for Week 8, dominated by LSU.

There were only five games on the schedule featuring nine SEC teams this week with five enjoying a bye week. Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky are each returning to action in Week 9.

The blowouts of the week belong to the Tennessee Volunteers who beat Tennessee-Martin by 41, the Alabama Crimson Tide who held Mississippi State scoreless until the final second 30-6, and the LSU Tigers who outscored Ole Miss 42-3 after falling behind 17-3.

The Missouri Tigers found the win column after defeating the Vanderbilt Commodores, who are still looking for their first SEC win in three years. The South Carolina Gamecocks raced out to a 17-0 lead on Texas A&M and held on for the 30-24 victory.
