The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-3) and the Ottawa RedBlacks (1-1) meet Sunday for a Week 4 battle at TD Place Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET (CBSSN/TSN/CFL+). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Tiger-Cats vs. RedBlacks odds, and make our expert CFL picks and predictions.
The Tiger-Cats have dropped all 3 games to date, while also failing to cover in each outing. Hamilton is coming off a 36-20 loss at Saskatchewan last weekend as a 2-point underdog as the Over (48) cashed.
The Ti-Cats have allowed 32 or more points in all 3 games so far, cashing the Over in each outing. It’s no surprise Hamilton ranks last in the CFL with 33.7 PPG allowed.
The RedBlacks were trounced 47-21 at Montreal last weekend as 6.5-point underdogs as the Over (47.5) easily cashed. That splashed cold water on a 23-19 home win in their season opener vs. Winnipeg in Week 2 as 7-point underdogs with the Under (47.5) hitting.
Hamilton has won 10 straight dating back to Aug. 17, 2019 in this provincial rivalry, while the Ti-Cats covered the spread vs. the RedBlacks in a 4 straight and in 8 of the past 10 meetings. The Under has hit in 3 of the past 4 meetings, too.

Tiger-Cats at RedBlacks picks and predictions
Prediction
Tiger-Cats 25, RedBlacks 22
Moneyline
HAMILTON (-105) is the play on the moneyline as a short ‘dog on the road.
Yes, the Ti-Cats are 0-3, but they’ve pounded the RedBlacks in 10 straight meetings, whether it’s in The Hammer, or the nation’s capital.
Until Ottawa figures out a way to solve the black and yellow, back the Ti-Cats.
Against the spread
Unless you absolutely, positively believe that Ottawa -1.5 (+100) will win, but only by a single point, there is no sense paying more to take Hamilton +1.5 (-120) instead of just playing the moneyline.
AVOID.
Over/Under
UNDER 51.5 (-110) is a strong play despite the fact Hamilton ranks last in the CFL in points allowed. Ottawa has managed just 22.0 PPG in 2 games to date, splitting the Over-Under in its 2 games.
The Under has hit in 3 of the past 4 meetings in this series, and while the RedBlacks could move the ball with some ease against a poor Ti-Cats D, the play is still going low. More than 50 points is a high number.
