Alabama is playing what’s amounting to a scrimmage game against New Mexico State today.
After a relatively rough start early, the Crimson Tide has found its way and is now dominating their far inferior opponent in every aspect of the game.
In a 49-3 game through one half, Alabama is in business and likely won’t let up.
Bryce Young finished the half nearly perfect in completion percentage. Going 20-22 for 270 yards and five touchdowns.
The rushing attack is running smoothly in this one. Alabama has gained 125 yards on the ground on 13 carries. Brian Robinson leads all rushers with 99 yards on nine carries.
Jameson Williams leads all Tide receivers with 158 yards on six receptions with three touchdowns.
Defensively, the Crimson Tide has only allowed 99 yards of total offense, mostly being accumulated through the air. The Alabama defense has allowed just five yards rushing on 16 attempts.
With a full half of football remaining, the Tide still has plenty of time to continue working out some kinks, but so far so good for Nick Saban’s team.
