Nobody in the country expected this game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the LSU Tigers to be so tight at the half. But, here we are in a 14-7 game at the midway point, Alabama up by just a touchdown.
So far, it has been a defensive battle with the Tide holding the clear advantage, at least defensively.
LSU has attempted 17 rushes that have only went for 29 yards total. That’s less than two yards per carry allowed by the Crimson Tide defense. The Tigers haven’t been able to do much through the air, likewise, only putting 48 yards up with their eight attempts at passing.
Offensively, the Tide have been able to find some yardage through the air, however they haven’t been so efficient on the ground. They’ve averaged just 1.8 yards per carry on 14 attempts.
Through the air, Bryce Young has went 17-27 with 191 yards and a touchdown.
The Tide has a lot of work to do, but it’s easy to see that everything should begin to come together within minutes.
