Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant on Wednesday surprised his father, Tee, with a brand new Dodge Charger as a token of his appreciation for all that he has done for him.

Ja has often said that Tee was his biggest critic growing up and that has prepared him to take criticism over the years. Tee was high school teammates with Ray Allen at Hillcrest High School in South Carolina and has helped train Ja over the years.

Ja and Tee have maintained that relationship this year with Ja playing in the NBA. Tee frequents his games and was even on hand, along with Allen, to watch his debut this season in Miami against the Heat.

The reaction to Tee being surprised with the car was priceless.

Ja has also said throughout the years that Tee gave up his dreams of playing basketball in order to help him achieve his goal of making it into the NBA. After helping repay that debt with a brand new car, the moment will likely be one that Ja will remember for the rest of his life.
