Duke offensive lineman Graham Barton keeps moving higher on NFL draft boards, and in a mock draft from PFF’s Brad Spielberger earlier this week, he went the highest he’s gone yet.
Spielberger had Barton come off the board with the 16th overall pick to the Seattle Seahawks, the sixth offensive lineman to hear his name called. The PFF analyst pointed out that Seattle, in the first year without longtime head coach Pete Carroll, lost lineman Damien Lewis to the Carolina Panthers this offseason.
“(Barton) has been tasked with working out at all five spots across the offensive line during the pre-draft process,” Spielberger wrote. “And he has held up quite well across the board.”
The Duke lineman played left tackle in his last three years as a Blue Devil, but he played center as a freshman and could shift inside in the pros.
The NFL draft begins on Thursday, April 25.
