God of War’s soft reboot saw the series exploring Norse mythology, leaving behind a past of slaying Greek gods to follow the story of a now long-bearded Kratos and his son, Atreus. Their saga continues when God of War Ragnarok releases in 2022 for PS4 and PS5, with new characters and myths that will be explored as part of the franchise’s icy new path.
We spoke to Roberto Luigi Pagani from the University of Iceland to have a deeper look into those characters and, ultimately, into how Ragnarok influences the series moving forward.
