God of War: Ragnarok might release in September 2022

Rumors point towards a fall launch.

A recent update to the PlayStation Store allegedly suggests that  God of War: Ragnarok  might release in the fall of 2022.

As first spotted by PSU, the back-end of the PlayStation Store recently updated God of War: Ragnarok’s  release date to Sept. 30, 2022. Please keep in mind that, in all likelihood, this is simply a placeholder date and shouldn’t be taken as any confirmation until  Sony Interactive Entertainment  or developer Sony Santa Monica comes out and states it.

It’s just a rumor at this point, though a fall 2022 release window makes some sense with what we know about God of War: Ragnarok’s  history. Christopher Judge, the actor that plays protagonist Kratos, said  that the game was delayed until 2022 because of him, suggesting that it’s nearing the end of development.

Time will tell if there’s any validity or this alleged database leak, but here’s to hoping God of War: Ragnarok  is coming then or sooner.

Sony Santa Monica knows everyone is frothing at the mouth over the sequel, so in the meantime, the studio is releasing God of War  2018 on PC. The port comes with  all sorts of graphical bells and whistles that were not on the original PS4 release.
