The Jacksonville Jaguars will be traveling to Baltimore to take on the Ravens this Sunday for one of their two remaining road games.

While the Ravens currently don’t hold a playoff spot, they are one of the more talented teams in the NFL, featuring stars on both the offense and defense. With that being the case, we felt they would be the perfect roster to evaluate and hypothetically snag for the Jags’ roster.

On offense, the first name that comes to mind is quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is dynamic as they come for a signal-caller. There are also some notable skill guys the Jags could use in running back Mark Ingram, tight end Mark Andrews, and receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown.

In the offensive trenches, tackle Orlando Brown is an intriguing name as he is the highest-graded offensive lineman (77.5) on the Ravens’ roster, per Pro Football Focus. At 6-foot-8, 345-pounds, he’d be a great addition for the Jags when considering the struggles of Cam Robinson and Jawaan Taylor.

Defensively, there are two former Jags in Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue, who I’m sure Jags fans would love to have back. There is also pass rusher Matt Judon, who has a coverage grade of 72.1, which is going under-the-radar.

On the perimeter, there is Jimmy Smith (74.6 grade) and Marcus Peters (63.5), who would boost the secondary for the Jags who’ve had injury issues at the position. While neither is necessarily elite, both are solid enough to give the Jags respectable play on one side of the field while also providing C.J. Henderson with a veteran to learn from.

While the Ravens offered a lot of variety, we ultimately went with the most impactful: Jackson. With him, the Ravens are never out of games when they are trailing, and teams need the best of athletes on defense to stop him. When his abilities as a passer aren’t taken seriously, he’s made teams pay (for the most part) through his connections with Brown and Andrews.

Had the Jags pulled the trigger on Jackson in 2018 and built around him, it’s possible Dave Caldwell and Tom Coughlin could still have their jobs when considering he was 2019’s league MVP. Instead, the team is now in a position where they will be looking for a QB1 in the offseason, and the best answer could come from the draft as they hold the No. 2 overall selection.
