In Sunday’s 23-17 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders at MetLife Stadium, McKinney intercepted a Derek Carr pass intended for wide receiver Hunter Renfrow and returned it 41 yards for a touchdown at the 13:28 mark of the third quarter. It was the first touchdown of McKinney’s career and the Giants’ first defensive touchdown of the season.
McKinney then picked off a second Carr pass with 5:12 remaining in regulation on the Raiders’ 24 yard-line that led to a Giants’ field goal.
It was the second time in McKinney’s career in which he recorded two picks in a single game. He intercepted two passes against the Los Angeles Rams on October 17 this season. He is also the first Giants player with a pair of two-interception games in a single season since Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie did it in 2016.
