Giants waive Chris Myarick from injured reserve

The New York Giants have waived tight end/fullback Chris Myarick from injured reserve (IR).

On Monday evening, the New York Giants waived tight end (H-back) Chris Myarick off of injured reserve (IR).

Myarick was placed on IR at the time of final cuts after suffering a broken hand in the Giants’ preseason finale. He was expected to miss the season.

The 28-year-old Myarick originally signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Temple in 2019. He spent two seasons in South Florida before signing with the Giants in 2021.

Myarick was waived at the end of the 2021 season but was picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals, placed on the practice squad, and remained with the team through their Super Bowl run.

At the conclusion of that season, Myarick re-signed with the Giants on a reserve/futures deal.

In 27 career games (11 starts), all with the Giants, Myarick has hauled in 10 receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns. He saw his most significant number of snaps a season ago after he was converted from tight end to fullback/H-back.

Once he clears waivers, Myarick will be free to sign with another team.
