The New York Giants (2-10) host the New Orleans Saints (4-8) at MetLife Stadium this Sunday afternoon in a game few outside of those two markets will seek to watch.
That’s why they invented fantasy football and prop bets. No matter how smelly the matchup, there’s always money to be made.
Here are three prop bets for your consideration in this game, per BetMGM.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara OVER 79.6 yards rushing (-115)
There’s so much red meat here, I can’t believe this number is so low. The Giants have been allowing 145 yards per game on the ground this season and things just got a whole lot worse with injuries to defensive tackles Dexter Lawrence and Rakeeen Nunez-Roches and linebacker Bobby Okereke. Kamara is third in the NFL in yards from scrimmage this year, but why throw it to him when you can run it so easily?
Giants QB Drew Lock OVER 16.5 yards rushing (-115)
The Giants have allowed 10 sacks over their latest two games and their offensive line woes continue as they have more injuries at tackle. Lock ran four times for 57 yards against Dallas and was under pressure all game. He’ll be ready to run again from a decent Saints’ pass rush. He could pass this number on one scramble.
Saints QB Derek Carr UNDER 220 passing yards (-115)
Teams have not been passing on the Giants as much this season for two reasons. First, they are usually in the lead and second, it’s been so easy to run on them. The Saints should grind the Giants up on the ground in this one, taking the air out of the ball. Carr also has fewer deep options thanks to injuries with Chris Olive and Rashid Shaheed on injured reserve (IR) and his top two tight ends limited at practice this week.
