The New York Giants were defeated by the Miami Dolphins, 31-16, on Sunday afternoon in Miami Gardens.
This was another tough one for Big Blue as they were just outmatched on all sides of the ball. The Dolphins’ offense was too fast and too quick for the Giants’ defense to handle. Unfortunately, New York’s offense could not maintain pace as they once again did not score an offensive touchdown in the first half.
With this loss, the Giants fall to 1-4 and last in the NFC East.
While no one exactly played amazing in this one for New York, the player of the game goes to safety Jason Pinnock.
Pinnock recorded the longest play of the NFL regular season on Sunday as he returned an interception 102 yards to the house. Not only did he take six off the board for Miami, but he also added the first Giants first-half touchdown of the season.

At the time this play also cut the Dolphins’ lead to only four, making it a competitive game for the time being.
Unfortunately, the game would soon get away from the Giants but Pinnock would end up recording four tackles on the day in addition to his interception.
While Pinnock has been far from a superstar, he has given the Giants a formidable option at safety, especially for being a former practice squad player.
