The Indianapolis Colts (7-8) visit MetLife Stadium in Week 17 to face the New York Giants (2-13) this Sunday afternoon.
The game means nothing to the Giants other than to avoid the indignity of becoming the first NFL team to go 0-9 at home in a single season and setting a franchise high for losses (14).
The Colts could also be playing for pride should both the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers win on Saturday. If one — or both — lose, the Colts will keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
There are some opportunities for you to win some cash before the New Year arrives, though.
Here are our top three prop bets for Sunday’s game, per BetMGM.
Total points UNDER 40.5
The weather will be mild and rainy come Sunday afternoon and a sloppy game can be expected. We could see less throwing and more running in this one plus long field goals may be an issue. The Giants have averaged 10.7 points per game over their last three and the Colts have averaged 25.3. That adds up to an under in this one.
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor OVER 99 rushing yards (-115)
The Giants are 31st in the NFL against the rush, allowing 142.6 yards per game. Jonathan Taylor romped for 218 yards and three scores versus Tennessee last week and has been ramping up. This just looks like easy money.
Colts QB Anthony Richardson anytime TD scorer (-120)
Anthony Richardson has been dealing with some back and foot issues this week but is expected to play. He has scored in three straight games and has eight touchdowns over his last five. He has a nose for the goal line and the Giants — who have been a top-10 red zone defense most of the season — have slacked off of late allowing opponents touchdowns on 62 percent of their red zone trips.
