Giants’ Tommy DeVito named Pepsi Rookie of the Week for second time

For the second time this season, New York Giants QB Tommy DeVito has been named the Pepsi Zero Rookie of the Week.

New York Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito has been named the Pepsi Zero Rookie of the Week for his performance on Monday night in the Giants’ 24-22 last-second victory over the Green Bay Packers.

It is the second time DeVito has won the honor. He was also named the top rookie in Week 11.

DeVito’s win is the Giants’ third in the past four weeks. Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt was honored in Week 12.

DeVito, an undrafted player out of Illinois this past spring, led the Giants to their third straight victory, completing 17 of 21 passes (81%) — including 10 of 11 (91%) in the second half — for a total of 158 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions.

DeVito is the second undrafted rookie in the common-draft era (which began in 1967) with an 80+ completion percentage (minimum 15 attempts) in a game.

Let the Tommy Cutlets mania continue.
