Was Pat Shurmur’s No. 1 QB
Once upon a time, McCoy was the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns — back when Pat Shurmur was still running the show.
Under Shurmur’s watch, McCoy started 13 games and threw for 2,733 yards, 14 touchdowns and 11 interceptions before being replaced by Brandon Weeden in 2012.
McCoy has started just seven games since then, while Shurmur had a disastrous stint coaching the Giants and is now the offensive coordinator in Denver.
