Giants sign wide receiver Damion Willis

The New York Giants have signed wide receiver Damion Willis.

The New York Giants continued shuffling their roster on Saturday afternoon, announcing the signing of wide receiver Damion Willis mere hours after the addition of veteran linebacker Todd Davis.

“The New York Giants continued a series of roster moves on Saturday with the signing of wide receiver Damion Willis, who most recently played in a game in 2019 with the Cincinnati Bengals,” Dan Salomone wrote on Giants.com.

Willis, 24, originally signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Troy in 2019. He had been named First-Team All-Sun Belt in 2018.

After being waived by Cincinnati in August of 2020, Willis was claimed by the Cleveland Browns but subsequently failed his physical and was released. Four months later, he was signed to the practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 6-foot-3, 204-pound Willis last spent time with the Denver Broncos, having been signed in May of this year and released in early July.

In 10 career games (two starts), all with the Bengals, Willis has recorded nine receptions (on 16 targets) for 82 yards and three first downs.
