Giants sign K Graham Gano to extension through 2023

The New York Giants announced that they’ve signed kicker Graham Gano to a three-year contract extension through the 2023 season.

It has been an amazing season for kicker Graham Gano with the New York Giants. On Sunday, he was rewarded for his solid efforts in his first season.

Gano has signed a three-year contract extension with the Giants, the team announced on Sunday. The extension is worth $14 million with $9.5 million guaranteed, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Gano has made 20 straight field goals for the Giants, two of which came in the Giants 27-17 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The team’s record is 29, which came in 2014-2015 by Josh Brown.

Gano came to the Giants initially on a one-year deal after the Giants cut ties with Aldrick Rosas in the off-season and thus far, Gano has been worth every penny for the Giants, making 21-of-22 field goals and connecting on all 16 of his PAT’s.

Gano was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after connecting on three field goals in the victory against the Washington Football Team.

Gano had previously been with the Carolina Panthers before coming to the Giants, although he did miss the entire 2019 season due to needing knee surgery.
