The 2020 NFL Draft has officially come and gone, so what better time than now to look ahead to the 2021 NFL Draft?

That’s what Luke Easterling of Draft Wire did earlier this week with the first edition of his “way-too-early 2021 NFL mock draft.”

Using the latest Super Bowl odds from BetMGM to determine the draft order, Easterling has the New York Giants selecting LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase with pick No. 4 overall.

As a sophomore in 2019, Chase led the FBS with 1,780 yards on 84 catches. His 20 touchdowns also set an SEC record. Unsurprisingly, those numbers, which included six 100-yard games and three 200-yard games, earned Chase the Fred Biletnikoff Award and a unanimous All-American designation.

Chase saved his best for last however, recording 221 yards and two touchdowns against Clemson in the National Championship Game.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Chase would be an ideal addition to the Giants’ offense, especially if the team decided to part ways with Golden Tate, who has a potential out in his contract following the 2020 season.

A lot could change between now and the 2021 NFL Draft — especially draft order — but if Chase continues to ascent and the Giants ultimately get their hands on him. . . watch out.
