Giants’ Saquon Barkley praises Joe Judge, Jason Garrett

Saquon Barkley gives some praise to the new coaching staff.

As the young Saquon Barkley heads into his third season in the league, he should feel good that the New York Giants used a first-round pick (Andrew Thomas) that should directly help him and quarterback Daniel Jones.

Barkley and the Big Blue offense will be working with a new coaching staff and hopefully, this head coach is here to stay for a while.

The last time a head coach had a long tenure with Big Blue was Tom Coughlin, who, we all know, won two Super Bowls with the Giants. Judge has come in and impressed with his first press conference. And now Barkley is giving the Giants new head coach praise.

Obviously, Barkley never played under Coughlin, but it seems similar to the praise players gave Coughlin during his time with Big Blue.

When Judge became the next Giants head coach early in the offseason, he did not anticipate having to be challenged with the Covid-19 pandemic. Barkley talked about the challenge that he and Judge are and will continue to face as virtual preparation for the season continues.

Barkley should have a better year than he did last season as long as he stays healthy; he missed three games in 2019. The improvement to the offensive line should also help Barkley in 2020 and beyond. Barkley and the offense are now working under former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.

Barkley’s talent and drive should help him continue to get better but if Ezekiel Elliott’s success is any indication of how Barkley will thrive under Garrett; Giants fans should be excited.

The excitement to work with the new coaching staff is nothing new coming from Barkley. Judge has been all business since he walked in the door. Hopefully, Judge can show improvement in the Giants’ efforts in his first year as head coach.
