Giants’ Saquon Barkley donating to New York/New Jersey food banks

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley continues to work hard during he COVID-19 pandemic, donating to New York/New Jersey food banks.

There’s been a lot of chatter lately of what a new contract for New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley might look like after Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey was inked to a four-year, $64 million extension.

That’s not a decision for this year, however, as Barkley is only entering the third year of his four-year rookie deal which makes him the fifth-highest paid back in the NFL. The Giants probably won’t talk turkey with Barkley until next offseason.

In the interim, Barkley is putting his current wealth to good use, donating to the local food banks to help the needy in this time of crisis.

Barkley is teaming up with the folks at Campbell’s, for whom he is a spokesperson. @CFBNJ is the Community Food Bank of New Jersey located in Hillside, New Jersey. They are “a member of Feeding America, fills the emptiness caused by hunger with FOOD, HELP and HOPE.” Their website is cfbnj.org.

@FoodBank4NYC is the Food Bank for New York City. They are the city’s major hunger-relief organization working to end food poverty across all five boroughs. Their website is foodbanknyc.org.
