There’s been a lot of chatter lately of what a new contract for New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley might look like after Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey was inked to a four-year, $64 million extension.
That’s not a decision for this year, however, as Barkley is only entering the third year of his four-year rookie deal which makes him the fifth-highest paid back in the NFL. The Giants probably won’t talk turkey with Barkley until next offseason.
In the interim, Barkley is putting his current wealth to good use, donating to the local food banks to help the needy in this time of crisis.
To support our local communities during this #COVID19 pandemic, @CampbellsChunky and I are donating to @CFBNJ and @FoodBank4NYC. If you’re able to donate visit https://t.co/AGV6rbB8uX or https://t.co/eFwD5PsHsH
