Giants’ Saquon Barkley a favorite to lead the NFL in rushing

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley has been listed as a favorite to lead the NFL in rushing in 2020.

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley finished second in the NFL in rushing (1,307) as a rookie in 2018, and finished 16th overall in 2019 (1,003) despite missing three and a half games due to a high ankle sprain.

However, with Barkley now healthy and the Giants having revamped their offensive line, the superstar running back is among the favorites to lead the NFL in rushing in 2020.

Caesars Sportsbook released their over-under odds earlier this week and had Barkley and Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey listed as co-favorites to lead the league with 1,249.5 rushing yards.

Here’s the over-under odds set for the top six running backs:

  • Saquon Barkley, 1,249.5
  • Christian McCaffrey, 1,249.5
  • Ezekiel Elliott, 1,229.5
  • Derrick Henry, 1,199.5
  • Joe Mixon, 1,059.5
  • Dalvin Cook, 1,049.5

Barkley was also recently given 33/1 odds to win the NFL MVP Award in 2020, but there were 12 other players with better odds and two (McCaffrey, Henry) with the same odds.
