Giants remain 2.5-point road underdogs vs. Redskins

Entering the weekend, the New York Giants remain 2.5-point road underdogs against the Washington Redskins in Week 16.

The New York Giants will head into Week 15 facing one of the few teams they have already beaten — this time on the road.

Rookie Daniel Jones took down the Washington Redskins in the second start of his career back in Week 4, giving the Giants a 2-2 record at the time. Now, with just two games remaining on the Giants’ schedule, most are talking about the 2020 NFL Draft ramifications surrounding this game.

According to BetMGM, the Giants are 2.5-point road underdogs just as they were when the line opened up. It will be interesting to see if the line moves at all when we find out if Daniel Jones is able to play.

The over/under also remains the same at 41.5. The last time the two teams faced off the Giants came away with a 24-3 victory, but with Dwayne Haskins now the starter in Washington, it’s hard to predict whether the final score will go over or under.

The Giants’ draft stock would, of course, benefit from losing the next two games. Although there are still other tiebreakers outside of the Giants control; it seems likely that the Giants will land the No. 2 pick if they lose their final two games.

The rumors have been swirling connecting the Giants to defensive end Chase Young. The thought of landing the Ohio State product likely has many fans rooting against their team this Sunday.

Although the Giants are underdogs going into Sunday this is easily a game they could win. Haskins may be out for revenge on the Giants for passing on him and selecting Daniel Jones instead. It will be interesting to see how the game plays out, especially as the draft implications loom larger.
