The NFL will officially release the 2020 regular season schedule on Thursday night during a three-hour special, and despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it is expected to include a full 17-week slate.
With that announcement nearing, the New York Giants decided to poke a little fun at the schedule makers, who have set a Week 1 matchup between Big Blue and Dallas Cowboys in six of the last eight seasons.

Since 2012, the only two times the Giants and Cowboys did not open the season together came in 2014 (Giants vs. Detroit Lions) and 2018 (Giants vs. Jacksonville Jaguars).
In 2018, although the Giants and Cowboys did not square off in Week 1, they did have a Week 2 matchup.
The good news? That’s not going to happen here in 2020.
As Giants Wire’s Tyler Henry postulated last week, the NFL will reportedly open with a slate of non-division and non-conference games in the event the coronavirus pandemic forces them to shorten the season or cancel some of the early contests. Accordingly, the Giants and Cowboys may not meet until as early as Week 5.
Although not yet confirmed, the Giants are expected to open the 2020 regular season at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
