The New York Giants are one of the many teams that Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray will speak with via video conference before next week’s NFL Draft.

Murray (6-foot-2, 241 pounds) ran a 4.53 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in February and is considered a late first, early second round pick. The Giants would not likely take Murray with the fourth pick in the first round, but should he still be on the board in Round 2, where the Giants have the 36th overall selection, Murray would be an exceptional value.
Murray played inside for the Sooners but projects more of an outside linebacker in the NFL due to his explosiveness. He is a three-down backer regardless of his position. The Giants are likely to line up in a 3-4 alignment and Murray could play inside or outside for them depending on how their roster shakes out.
The likelihood of Murray being on the board at No. 36 is becoming unlikely. With teams and their scouts sequestered in place these days with nothing really to do but review tape, Murray has become a bit of hot prospect as he jumps off the screen.
