The New York Giants released the dates and times of their 2022 preseason games on Tuesday.

The Giants will open against the New England Patriots in Foxborough on Thursday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m. ET. That will be followed up with a home game versus the defending AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The preseason finale will be against their MetLife Stadium co-tenants, the New York Jets, on Sunday, August 28 at 1:00 p.m. ET The Giants will be the visiting team.

This will be the 53rd summer the two teams have faced off against one another in the preseason. They had a 51-year streak (1969-2019) broken by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 but resumed the series last year — a 12-7 Jets victory — that lifted Gang Green’s record to 26-25-1 over Big Blue. The tie game was in 1972.

The Giants will also meet another common foe this summer in New England. They meet for the 32nd time in the preseason since 1971 with the Giants leading the series, 20-11. New England won last year’s game, 22-20, at MetLife Stadium.

This will be the sixth time the Giants meet the Bengals in the preseason. They are 4-1 against Cincinnati with the last game being a Giants’ 25-23 win at Paul Brown Stadium in 2019.
