Giants nearly bottom out in latest USA TODAY power rankings

The New York Giants dropped several spots and nearly bottomed out in the latest USA TODAY power rankings.

The New York Giants currently find themselves in the basement of the NFC East, and they nearly found themselves in the basement of the latest USA TODAY power rankings as well.

Following a 17-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3, the Giants dropped three spots and currently reside at No. 30 overall.

30. Giants (27): Don’t blame their 0-3 start on LB Azeez Ojulari, the first rookie to record a sack in his first three games since Terrell Suggs in 2003.

Only the Jacksonville Jaguars (31) and New York Jets (32) fared worse than Big Blue.

Comparatively, the Philadelphia Eagles dropped two spots to No. 24 overall and the Washington Football Team dropped two spots to No. 23 overall.

The Dallas Cowboys, unsurprisingly, rose two spots to No. 8 overall. They currently lead the NFC East at 2-1.

Following their upset victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams now reside at No. 1 overall and have the potential to remain there for quite some time.
