There weren’t many bright spots for the New York Giants in a 27-13 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 1, but safety Logan Ryan was one.

Ryan led the Giants defense with 10 tackles (eight solo, one for a loss), while adding one QB hit, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

The forced fumble and recovery came on the same play and is among the best individual efforts you may ever see. It stopped a potential Broncos’ scoring drive and should have provided momentum for Jason Garrett’s offense, but that’s a whole other story.

Following his electric performance, Ryan, who earned a 90.4 grade for his efforts, was named to the Pro Football Focus Team of Week 1.

Ryan fell just short of winning PFF’s Defensive Player of the Week honor, which went to Cardinals edge rusher Chandler Jones (six tackles, five sacks, six QB hits and two forced fumbles).
