Giants legend Eli Manning nominated for another Sports Emmy Award

Retired New York Giants QB Eli Manning has been nominated for another Sports Emmy Award with “Eli’s Places” also being nominated.

Retired New York Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl MVP, Eli Manning, has already had an impressive media career after hanging up his cleats. And now it’s gotten to the point where Eli is being routinely recognized for his work.

Last year, the ManningCast, an alternative and unconventional Monday Night Football broadcast hosted by the Manning brothers, won the Emmy for “Outstanding Live Series.”

Now, Manning is going for his second Sports Emmy Award to match his Super Bowl trophy count.

This year, Manning has been nominated for the category of Outstanding Personality/Emerging On-Air Talent. Others nominated for the award include Andraya Carter, Robert Griffin III, Greg Olsen, and JJ Reddick.

In addition to the ManningCast, Eli also works on “The Eli Manning Show” and the ESPN+ exclusive show, “Eli’s Places.”

Fittingly, “Eli’s Places” has also been nominated for Outstanding Hosted Edited Series.

Manning has been popping up everywhere, recently coaching the Pro Bowl while also going undercover as Chad Powers at a Penn State University football tryout. He’s also very active on Twitter, which likely comes as a surprise to most.

The 44th Annual Sports Emmy ceremony will take place on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall.
