The New York Giants fell to 0-4 on the season following a 17-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday and would be in line to select No. 1 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft if the season ended today.

Despite that ugly picture, Nate Davis of USA TODAY does not believe the Giants are the worst team in football. In fact, he doesn’t believe they are the worst team in New York.

In the latest edition of Davis’ USA TODAY power rankings, he has the Giants moving back up one spot, leapfrogging the New York Jets for No. 31 overall.

31. Giants (32): Did you see that play when QB Daniel Jones dropped back to pass against the Rams … and it appeared none of his receivers ran a route? Said another way, the Giants have three TDs this season … and Odell Beckham Jr. has four.

Comparatively, Davis has the Washington Football Team falling two spots to No. 28 overall, the Philadelphia Eagles rising seven spots to No. 22 overall and the Dallas Cowboys falling three spots to No. 19 overall.

Unsurprisingly, the Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) remain in place at No. 1 overall.
