With a lack of things to talk about thanks to a shortened NFL offseason, different media outlets have been re-drafting the entire league of late, and the New York Giants came away with a pretty good haul in Pro Football Focus’.
In PFF’s re-draft of the entire NFL, the Giants landed an impressive mix of talent, thanks to Evan Silva of EstablishTheRun.com, who was in charge of New York’s selections.
Round 1 (4): QB Deshaun Watson
Round 2 (61): WR D.K. Metcalf
Round 3 (68): Edge Joey Bosa
Round 4 (125): T Jedrick Wills Jr.
Interestingly enough, the Giants also landed Watson in ESPN’s NFL re-draft.
Along with Watson, Big Blue would have a budding star receiver in Metcalf, a potential franchise left tackle in Wills Jr. and a star pass-rusher in Bosa. This group truly checks all the important boxes of building a team.
Here’s what Silva had to say about his picks:
“I had all those guys in my top-four. The fourth member of my top-four is Deshaun Watson, who has really overcome a lot of factors working against him in Houston. … He’s been a winning quarterback consistently going back to college, he’s been a really high-pedigree player when he was coming out of high school on to becoming the No. 12 overall pick in the NFL draft, and I think he’s a player that has shown the ability to elevate his team.”
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones went No. 23 overall in the fantasy draft to the New England Patriots, while running back Saquon Barkley went No. 97 overall (fourth round) to the Kansas City Chiefs.
