Giants’ Kenny Golladay undervalued in fantasy football?

Pro Football Focus discusses why Giants WR Kenny Golladay is currently a value in fantasy football.

New York Giants wide receiver Kenny Golladay didn’t enjoy his typical production in fantasy football during the 2021 season, but he may be falling down draft boards a bit too far now.

While there are certainly reasons to be cautious when drafting Golladay in fantasy football, Ian Hartitz of Pro Football Focus believes the 28-year-old is undervalued based on the number of targets he’s expected to see in 2022.

Pro Football Focus currently projects Golladay to receive 107 targets in 2022 and has an average draft position (ADP) of WR57 in fantasy football drafts.

My WR49, Golladay is one of the biggest fallers in ADP from 2021 to 2022 despite having less competition, an extra year of familiarity with his quarterback, and a likely improved scheme courtesy of new head coach Brian Daboll. He’s someone I’m perfectly comfortable throwing a dart at as my WR5 or WR6 once drafts get into the double-digit rounds.

Golladay should lead the Giants in targets during the 2022 season s long as he stays healthy. That’s a big question mark, though, given his injury history over the last two seasons.

Even with the potential break out of Kadarius Toney, Golladay should be the leader in the room. And after posting a goose egg in the touchdown column in 2021, we should expect him to regress closer to his career averages.

The Giants need Golladay to play close to the contract that was given to him by the previous regime and at his current ADP, he may be a solid value in fantasy drafts.
