Giants injury report: Xavier McKinney activated, returns to practice

The New York Giants activated S Xavier McKinney from NFI and he returned to practice but remains unlikely to play in Week 17 vs. the Colts.

The New York Giants were back on the practice field on Thursday and several players continued to trend in the right direction.

Nose tackle Dexter Lawrence returned from his veteran rest day and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson continued to practice on a limited basis. The same held true for defensive lineman Leonard Williams, who is playing through a serious neck injury.

Linebacker Azeez Ojulari also continued to practice despite an ankle sprain. He remains hopeful to play in Week 17 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Meanwhile, the Giants started the 21-day window on safety Xavier McKinney (hand). He was activated from the non-football injury (NFI) list and took some scout teams reps in practice but is unlikely to play on Sunday.
