Giants injury report: Daniel Jones, Kevin Zeitler limited

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones (hamstring/ankle) and OL Kevin Zeitler (shoulder) were limited in practice on Wednesday.

The New York Giants returned to the practice field on Wednesday for the first time ahead of a Week 15 game against the Cleveland Browns and they did so with several legitimate concerns.

Chief among them was the status of quarterback Daniel Jones, who is not only dealing with a right hamstring injury, but a left ankle sprain as well.

“I’ve told you about Daniel, he’s a tough, tough competitor. He’s not going to be very early to tell you that he just has a boo-boo. This guy, it takes something serious for him to kind of open up and give information about what’s going on and you’ve got to really see it with your eyes,” head coach Joe Judge told reporters.

“We’ll see how he moves in practice, we’ll see how this progresses throughout the week. I can tell you that he’s optimistic, but I’m going to tell you right now if his left arm was attached by a rubber band, he’d tell us he’d figure out a way to get it done, so we’ll have to see him through practice this week.

Jones warmed up and did some jogging during the portion of practice open to the media, but he looked hobbled and far from 100 percent.

In addition to Jones, guard Kevin Zeitler was also limited in practice due to a shoulder injury likely suffered in a Week 14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Rookie cornerback Darnay Holmes, who was inactive last Sunday, did not practice as the result of a knee injury.

The good news for New York is that linebacker Blake Martinez, who was questionable last week with a back injury, was a full participant and did not appear on the team’s official injury report (which can be found below).

Did not participate: CB Darnay Holmes (knee)

Limited participant: QB Daniel Jones (hamstring), OL Kevin Zeitler (shoulder)

Full participant: N/A
