Giants hire Christian Daboll as an offensive assistant

The New York Giants have hired Christian Daboll, son of head coach Brian Daboll, as an entry-level offensive assistant.

The New York Giants have hired Christian Daboll, the son of head coach Brian Daboll, as an entry-level offensive assistant.

Although no official announcement was made, Daboll’s name was added to the coaches section of the official team website. The New York Post later confirmed the hire.

It’s not unusual for large NFL staffs to include relatives and even father-son pairings. Giants defensive assistant Kevin Wilkins is the younger brother of outside linebackers coach Drew Wilkins.

Daboll had spent the past three-plus years working as a student-coach at Penn State University. In 2022, he took on the responsibility of signaling in the plays.

The father and son duo took a picture during Senior Day over Thanksgiving weekend.

It’s unclear what, exactly, Daboll will be doing as an offensive assistant for the Giants, but a little extra Dabes in East Rutherford can’t hurt.
