Due to a suspension and personnel turnover on offense, New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate did not produce at the level he’s become accustomed to in 2019.
Tate finished his first season in blue having hauled in 49 receptions for 676 yards and six touchdowns, which was his worst statistical output since 2011. However, more alarming is that he managed just 284 yards after the catch, which was 32nd among wide receivers.
Tate, of course, has become known for his YAC ability, routinely finishing near the top of the league in that statistical category.
Despite his limited production in 2019, Tate remains the YAC King of the NFL, leading all received in that category over the past five seasons by a country mile.

In 2020, Tate aims to reclaim that YAC title and he’s not been shy about sharing that goal publicly.
“I’m hoping I can continue to be the YAC King again this year,” Tate said during a Wednesday interview with FOX Sports.
So long as Tate can remain healthy and on the field, there’s little reason to believe he won’t return to form in 2020, which is good news for both the Giants and his personal quest to return to the top of the mountain.
