Giants’ Golden Tate spared, Rams’ Jalen Ramsey fined for brawl

Golden Tate doesn’t get a fine while Jalen Ramsey does.

New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey got in a heated scuffle following the Week 4 matchup at SoFi Stadium, but only one of them wound up being fined.

Falling in line with the narrative that Tate was defending himself from Ramsey, the latter was fined $15,625 for his role in the postgame brawl. Tate wasn’t fined by the league, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Though Tate hasn’t commented on the exchange with Ramsey since the Giants left Los Angeles with their fourth consecutive loss, it was reported that Ramsey even waited for Tate outside of the visitor’s locker room following the game.

While Tate was spared from having to give part of his game check back to the league, Giants center Nick Gates wasn’t so lucky. The 24-year-old got into it with Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald during the Week 4 matchup.

Both players were fined with Donald coming out having to pay the bigger total. Donald wound up being fined $10,500 while Gates will have to pay $6,922 for their respective parts in their own dust-up.

With this Week 4 matchup behind them, the Giants will now look toward their first division matchup of the season when they visit the Cowboys on Sunday.
