The New York Giants are a bad football team. Even before they fell to 0-3 with a humiliating 36-9 loss to the San Francisco 49ers’ back-up squad, they were a bad team.

However, with head coach Joe Judge taking over control, there had been some hope for the organization. And after the fight they showed the first two weeks of the season, some had been lead to believe that perhaps a few surprise wins were coming.

Not so much. The Giants revealed their true selves in Week 3 and as a result, Nate Davis of USA TODAY thought it fit to put New York back where it belongs — dead last in his most recent power rankings.

32. Giants (31): They were even more miserable against San Francisco’s backup JV in Week 3, which already has locals opining about QB Daniel Jones’ outlook.

We thought Davis had it wrong earlier this year when he heavily criticized the Giants, but as it turns out, he had them pegged from the get-go.

Comparatively, Davis has the Philadelphia Eagles remaining in place at No. 29 overall, the Washington Football Team falling one spot to No. 28 overall and the Dallas Cowboys staying put at No. 16 overall.

The New York Jets moved up one spot to No. 31 overall, while the Kansas City Chiefs reclaimed their place at No. 1 overall.
