The New York Giants on Saturday announced the elevation of two practice squad players: return man Pharoh Cooper and cornerback Jarren Williams.

The Giants signed Cooper to the practice squad in November and elevated him in each of the previous four games. He has served as their return man, returning four kicks for 67 yards and six punts for 57 yards. He’s also hauled in three receptions for 27 yards, and rushed once for three yards.

Cooper will serve as a COVID-19 replacement for offensive lineman Wes Martin.

Williams, meanwhile, is a standard elevation.

After going undrafted out of Albany in 2020, Williams briefly signed with the Arizona Cardinals before joining the Giants last August. He has spent time on both the practice squad and active roster.

Williams was placed on injured reserve just prior to final cuts earlier this year and later waived with an injury settlement. He was re-signed to the practice squad in late September.

In one game this season, Williams recorded three tackles and surrendered just one reception on five targets.
