The New York Giants have elevated offensive lineman Jaylon Thomas from their practice squad ahead of a Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
Thomas’ activation comes after left tackle Andrew Thomas (hamstring) and guard Ben Bredeson (concussion) were ruled out for the game.
Giants not playing games with the injury report: Saquon is ruled out. Same for Andrew Thomas and Azeez Ojulari on the short week.

The 6-foot-3, 311-pound Thomas was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2023 NFL draft. He was released as a part of final cuts in August and signed to the Giants’ practice squad following a workout on September 1.
In college at SMU, Thomas played all five positions across the line and spent the summer at center for the Ravens.
Thomas was not elevated in either of the first two weeks of the season. This is his first elevation and he has two remaining this season.
Following Thursday night’s game in Santa Clara, Thomas will revert back to the Giants’ practice squad.
