The New York Giants secured their fifth win of the season beating the Seahawks in Seattle. Read that again and let it sink in.
This was a defensive battle from the get-go as the Giants were without their starting quarterback. They needed to control the line of scrimmage, time of possession, and be the better defense. And New York was able to do all three of these things resulting in the win.
With the 17-12 win, the Giants now stand at 5-7 and first in the NFC East.
Here’s how Twitter reacted:

That is the best win any team in the NFC East has this year and it isn’t close. The #Giants are 5-2 the last seven games, the losses were by a combined 3 points.

Every Coach/Team has a signature win. That has to be it for the #Giants who just gained some space at the top of the NFC East.

There are many sad stats for NY pro sports teams, but this one somehow managed to really surprise me. #Giants pic.twitter.com/t7NBBH0ptF

Great defense travels. The #Giants will have a chance in every game they play because of how this D is playing.
