Giants’ Darius Slayton named to PFF Team of the Week

New York Giants WR Darius Slayton has been named to the Pro Football Focus Team of the Week for Week 5.

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton played one of the best games of his career in a 37-34 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5, hauling in eight receptions for 129 yards.

Slayton would have had nine reception for more than 150 yards and a touchdown, but had the biggest play of his night called back due to an offensive pass interference call against Damion Ratley.

Ratley has since been released.

Although Slayton would have preferred the victory, he does get a consolation prize for his terrific performance — a spot on the Pro Football Focus Team of the Week.

Unfortunately for the Giants, four members of the Dallas Cowboys also made the PFF Team of the Week, including four members of their dreadful and under-performing defense, which speaks volumes about where New York is offensively.

Through five weeks, Slayton has 23 receptions for 365 yards and two touchdowns.
