When retired New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning joined Twitter over the weekend, it set the entire football world on fire. For most — including Manning’s former teammates — it was a surreal moment and something they never expected to see.
However, Manning’s former mates were quick to express an excitement over what the two-time Super Bowl MVP would bring to the table, and he did not disappoint.
Manning’s first two days on Twitter saw him gain more than 300,000 followers as he unleashed hilarious tweet after hilarious tweet, with his best work coming during “The Match,” a charity golf event that pitted Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods against Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson.
Thanks to Manning’s epic arrival onto the scene, The Athletic decided to look at 50 additional NFL Twitter accounts that were worth following, and one of them just happened to be a current member of the Giants.
Darius Slayton, the team’s 2019 fifth-round pick, drew the honor, which seems almost fitting given his reaction to Manning’s arrival onto the Twitter scene.
I mean welcome to Twitter and all but deep down I’m really mad you already got more followers than me 😒 https://t.co/9XwmajGZUw

Slayton, who has nearly 26,000 followers, is extremely active on Twitter and shares a lot of quality content. Here’s a taste:
Getting home and realizing you have the wrong food or your order is incorrect is top 5 sickest feelings ever

That is something we can all relate to.

In addition to Slayton, former Giants defensive lineman Markus Kuhn, a 2012 seventh-round pick, also made the list.
Kuhn, a former New York Giants defensive tackle and German-born NFL player, offers very cool insight into what the NFL is doing overseas. He also hosts “Monday Night Football” for German games with Sebastian Vollmer.
Both Slayton and Kuhn are absolutely worth following. And in case you haven’t done so yet, hit that follow button on Manning as well.
