A week ago, the New York Giants found themselves battling for last place in the USA TODAY power rankings. However, following a 25-3 upset victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 7, they climbed the ladder a bit.

Nate Davis has the Giants moving up four spots to No. 26 overall in his latest power rankings. He once again avoided talking about quarterback Daniel Jones following nearly two years of constant criticism, instead heaping praise on rookie edge rusher Azeez Ojulari.

26. Giants (30): OLB Azeez Ojulari might be the steal of 2021 draft. The 50th overall selection leads all rookies with 5.5 sacks.

Ojulari certainly deserves the kudos. He’s coming into his own and is establishing himself as the pass rush threat New York so desperately needs.

Comparatively, and despite their losses, the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles each rose one spot, landing in the No. 24 and No. 23 spots, respectively.

The Dallas Cowboys, who enjoyed a bye week, remain in place at No. 4 overall.

The Arizona Cardinals — the league’s only undefeated team — continue to edge out the Los Angeles Rams for the No. 1 overall spot.
