The New York Giants have been awarded rookie wide receiver Tony Brown off of waivers from the Cleveland Browns.

The New York Giants continued to make adjustments to their roster depth on Saturday, claiming rookie wide receiver Tony Brown off of waivers from the Cleveland Browns.

Brown signed with Cleveland as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Colorado following the 2020 NFL Draft. Prior to transferring to Colorado in 2017, Brown spent two seasons playing at Texas Tech.

In 26 college games, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Brown hauled in 115 receptions for 1,418 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed the ball six times for 33 yards and one touchdown, and returned one kickoff for 15 yards.

Brown posted his best numbers as a senior in 2019, catching 56 balls for 707 yards and five touchdowns, earning an honorable All-Pac 10 mention.

Brown joins Derrick Dillon, Binjimen Victor and Austin Mack as undrafted free agent wide receivers on the Giants’ early 90-man roster.

Additionally, the Giants also officially announced the signing of kicker Chandler Catanzaro.
