#NYG: WR Golden Tate will not make the trip today to Washington for Sunday’s game, sources tell @RapSheet & me. The decision was made due to overall issues with effort & performance. Tate has chance to return to the lineup next week. #NYGvsWAS

The New York Giants have already been dealing with some injuries ahead of this weekend’s matchup with the Washington Football Team, but now it appears that they will also be without veteran WR Golden Tate, who has been benched for issues of effort and performance as of late.
Tate was seen working with the practice squad earlier this week, wearing a No. 17 jersey and likely mimicking the play of Washington’s Terry McLaurin. Now it appears that his services won’t be needed beyond the practice squad this week, as Giants coach Joe Judge has made the decision to bench him instead.
