The New York Giants were demolished by the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6, falling by a score of 38-11 and dropping their overall record to 1-5.

Despite the loss, the Giants somehow climbed a rung in the latest USA TODAY power rankings. However, their placement at No. 30 overall is tenuous at best as they continue to battle the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions for last place.

30. Giants (31): Among their numerous flaws, a league-worst 41.2% touchdown conversion rate in the red zone.

Remarkably, the Urban Meyer-led Jacksonville Jaguars managed to move up over the Giants (and Miami Dolphins) following their first victory of the season.

By comparison, the Washington Football Team fell three spots to No. 25 overall, while the Philadelphia Eagles also fell three spots to No. 24 overall.

The Dallas Cowboys, who are now 5-1 to start the season, remain in place at No. 4 overall.

The Arizona Cardinals also continue their stranglehold on the No. 1 overall spot.
