Giants back in control of playoff destiny following Washington loss

The New York Giants are, at least for a brief moment, back in control of their NFC East destiny following a Washington loss in Week 15.

The New York Giants are back in control of their playoff destiny as they head into their Sunday night showdown against the Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium.

The Washington Football Team lost to the Seattle Seahawks, 20-15, on Sunday afternoon to drop their record to 6-8 on the season. A Giants victory over the Browns would raise their record to 6-8 and lift them back into first place in the NFC East.

The Giants swept their series with Washington this year, defeating them 20-10 in Week 6 and 23-20 in Week 9, to secure the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys (4-9) lead the San Francisco 49ers, 24-24, with under 2:30 to play.

The Philadelphia Eagles (4-8-1) take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
