Giannis Antetokounmpo screams in pain after injuring ankle, leaves Game 4

Giannis Antetokounmpo was forced to leave Game 4 against the Heat on Sunday.

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo injured his right ankle in the first quarter of Game 3 against the Heat and was in obvious discomfort throughout the game, but said afterward he was ready to play more in a must-win Game 4.

With the rest of his teammates struggling offensively, Giannis carried the Bucks through the first quarter – but was forced to leave the game in the second quarter after tweaking the same right ankle again on a drive to the hoop.

Giannis screamed in pain on the floor, but remained in the game to shoot his foul shots. Per NBA rules, if Antetokounmpo had not taken his foul shots, he would not be eligible to return later on in the game. The Bucks then immediately fouled to take Giannis out, and he left the court with trainers.

NBA players watching the game wished Giannis well on Twitter.
