Michigan State’s lengthy NCAA Tournament streak is still alive.

The Spartans were selected to participate in the NCAA Tournament for a 23rd consecutive season — which is now the second-longest active streak. However, this year’s tournament will mark a first for the Spartans as they will start out in a “First Four” play-in game against UCLA.

Michigan State will play UCLA on Thursday evening in a battle of No. 11 seeds, with the winner moving on to face to No. 6 BYU. There will be plenty of pregame coverage in the coming days, but let’s start off with getting to know the Bruins and assessing this match-up.
